Tim
Head Trainer and ConsultantTim is the Head Trainer and Consultant on our team.
Tim has over 20 years experience in hospitality starting at Hungry Jacks in Sydney at 17. He then moved into bar work at 19yrs of age starting in Clubs in the Sydney area.
At just 23 yrs old he moved back to food as a Supervisor at Delifrance in the busy Queen Victoria Building. Shortly after he was promoted to Assistant Manager. After 2 years with this company he moved to Liquor Land becoming 2IC within one month. Shortly afterwards the club industry called him back and he was appointed as Duty Manager at Bexley RSL and Community Club.
With just over 9 years city experience behind him Tim decided it was time to return to the country and at just 27yrs of age he was offered the Secretary Managers position at Hay Bowling and Golf Club. After four years and some great results, Tim decided another challenge was necessary and accepted the General Managers position at Yamba Golf and Country Club. After 2 successful years with this club, a move closer to family was required and Tim accepted the General Managers position at Dubbo Golf Club. Another move resulted in Tim becoming the Assistant Manager at Narromine United Services Memorial Club; a position he held for three years until he gained an Area Managers role with Sureway Employment and Training. Hospitality kept calling him, after 12 months in employment services he started Western Hospitality and Training – contracting his services out as a trainer in hospitality.
Tim holds an Advanced Diploma in Hospitality, allowing him to train students in all certificates up to and including this level. With many years spent behind the bar, this is Tim’s speciality but he is also very capable in coffee making and table service of food and beverage. Tim maintains his Club experience by being a Director of Narromine United Service Memorial Club, a volunteer position he has held since 2013.
